Renaissance Center

The Fourth of July weekend proved to be an exciting time. RAM Construction Services was contracted to install over 93,000 square feet of an anti-skid epoxy overlay waterproofing system on three (3) streets which surround the Renaissance Center, now serving as General Motor’s World Headquarters, located in the heart of downtown Detroit, MI. The anti-skid epoxy system was selected and installed on Beaubian Street, Atwater Street, and Renaissance Drive West in order to preserve and protect the suspended concrete slabs which act as the roof to below grade parking structures.

The high volumes of traffic these roads absorb during normal business days and events on the weekends created a situation where RAM was only allowed to close the roads starting on Thursday, July 3rd and they had to be reopened prior to the morning of Monday, July 7th. This large of an installation in this condensed timeframe had never before been accomplished by RAM Construction Services. The RAM team was up to the challenge and made all of the necessary arrangements in order to achieve such a monumental task. Over 120 tons of aggregate and 7,000 gallons of epoxy were delivered to the site and three installation crews and equipment were scheduled for the weekend. RAM shut down the streets on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. and began the surface preparation. Material was staged throughout the jobsite so installation was a continuous operation and shut down time for material needs was minimized. After the crews work diligently throughout the night, the first layer of the system was completed by noon on Friday. The crew got some well-deserved rest in preparation for installation of the second layer which began early Saturday morning. The second layer was completed by Saturday evening and the end was in sight. The crew returned Sunday morning to final sweep and thoroughly cleaned the entire area. The team completed the job on time and presented an outstanding product to the client. Thanks to proper planning, hard work, and a commitment to the RAM way, the project was a great success and serves as a bench mark for future endeavors.

Detroit Foundation Hotel

I-77 Charlotte NC Bridge Rehabilitation

RAM construction was subcontract by Blythe Construction to perform bridge deck patching, epoxy overlay and various joint repairs on 7 structures that were included on a paving project for The North Carolina Department of Transportation. The project was located on I-77 and I-485 on the south side of Charlotte.

I-71 Cincinnati Sealer Project

In April of 2017, RAM Construction Services began a concrete sealer project in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. The scope included Gravity Fed Resin (GFR) to be applied to the deck surfaces of two major entrance ramps along I-71.

Highway 53 Viginia,MN

US 20 Bypass Elkhart, IN

The Berdan Building

The Berdan Building in Toledo, OH was originally constructed in 1901-1902 for the Berdan company, which at its’ peak, was the largest wholesale grocer between New York and Chicago. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Scott at Brush Park

The Scott at Brush Park is the first building of a large residential / retail development. Located off just off Woodward and a stones throw from the new District Detroit Arena Development, this project will bring a lot of new faces to back to the city.

Ziegler Park

Eastside III Phase 1

US 17 Neuse and Trent River Bridges

RAM Construction Services was the low bidder on the North Carolina Department of Transportation project for the rehabilitation of US 17 bridges crossing the Trent River and the Neuse River. The Neuse River Bridge was opened to traffic in 1999 and only required the removal and replacement of 1 modular joint as a section of the original system had failed and was not repairable.

Meblourne Causeway

The Melbourne Causeway carries traffic from mainland Florida over the Indiana River Lagoon to the East Coast Peninsula.

Wayne State Parking Structure #1

RAM Construction Services was contracted to perform concrete repairs on WSU’s Parking Structure #1. The scope of work included hydro demolition and overhead concrete repairs.

Wakota Bridge St. Paul MN

Spectrum Heath - Gerber Memorial Hospital

Spectrum Health expanded its Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont star ting in 2013, and completing it in 2014. RAM Construction Services worked directly with Elzinga & Volkers to install waterproofing, on air barrier and interior/exterior sealants.

Key Bank National Associates

Cleveland-based KeyCorp is one of the nation’s largest bank-based financial services companies. RAM Construction Services was contracted to remove and replace nearly 25,000 lineal feet of sealant on the exterior panels, 21,000 square feet of façade cleaning, and special protection over the anodized aluminum at the windows.

Lawrenceburg Event Center

This new facility includes a six-story, 164-room hotel with stunning views of the Ohio River. It is located above a two-story, 1,100-seat multi-purpose performance space with other typical supporting amenities located in an event space and hotel setting.

Grand Valley State University Science Lab

Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Allendale, Michigan is a public institution that was founded in 1960. RAM Construction Services teamed up with Pioneer Construction on multiple phases of the project.

Hudsonville High School

Morton House
