Lawrenceburg Event Center

This new facility includes a six-story, 164-room hotel with stunning views of the Ohio River. It is located above a two-story, 1,100-seat multi-purpose performance space with other typical supporting amenities located in an event space and hotel setting. The main, multi-purpose room has been designed to accommodate over 1,100 people in a concert setting and around 850 people in a banquet setting. In addition to this large, 19,000 square-feet space, there are three large ballrooms at 2,500 square feet each, three additional large meetings rooms at 1,700 square feet each, three smaller meeting rooms at 750 square feet each, as well as generous pre-function and lobby spaces to accommodate overflow gatherings that have amazing views out into the heart of the downtown.

This project’s challenges were typically weather related. The job was primarily completed in the winter. Most of the work was accomplished working from swing stages. The counter-weight support system was set up on the roof of the building and had to be moved as the work was completed on each “drop”. The flat rubber roof was very slippery and difficult to walk on when snow and ice were present. At numerous times we had to shut the job down for days due to the unsafe roof conditions.
