Hudsonville Public Schools have tripled enrollment over the past 25 years with an additional 2-5% growth expected over the next five years. The new 215,000 square-foot freshman campus will help accommodate the number of students entering high school. The $51.6 million project will open during the 2015 school year.
Ram Construction Services was hired by Burggrabe Masonry to insulate the entire building envelope (100,000 square feet) with two inches of spray polyurethane foam insulation. Spraying insulation on a large scale job requires great attention to detail, as several contractors may be directly impacted by our work. Our team was required to coordinate project details with Burggrabe Masonry, the metal panel contractor and Triangle Associates to ensure everyone maintained the overall schedule. Another challenge on this project was the lengthy duration. Ram Construction Services started work towards the end of 2013 and completed it in January of 2015. Working within the required temperatures and protecting finished material was also a critical task to manage.
